Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is often credited for starting the modern scientific study of children's witness memory as well as child victims as witnesses in lawful contexts. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive and she has been awarded numerous grants and has been the recipient of many honors both national and internationally. She has consulted with various governments and agencies across the globe regarding policy and research on child abuse in the justice system. She works as a Consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
