Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. She was born in Stavanger on June 15, 1996 and professionally known as Aurora. The name of her can be spelled in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, came out in May 2015 on Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. Half the World Away from the band Oasis was recorded to accompany an ad campaign for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is the Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry's endorsement of the song Runaway on her blog brought the singer additional acknowledgement. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is when she discovered a grand piano that was in the attic. She was fascinated by its capabilities. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to take up music as a passion rather than as a job. To achieve this she started writing her own songs that were her own creations. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen as well as Bjork as her main influences. After her mom informed her that her music would not just help her gain fame, however, they could also help others understand their value within the global community and see the possibilities for them She decided to start singing in public. At age 6 She began playing the piano and at nine was writing music. The family did not have any idea about it until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora's fame was not her goal. Her sole passion is writing music. Music to her is the only way to feel anything.
